Execution

  • We use this as a simple call when we want to quickly isolate the post. The player bringing the ball up the court makes a "Push" call which tells the player in the strong side corner to make a baseline cut to the weak side which clears out his defender. We then make a post feed looking for a score and the passer to the post should make sure to show some movement either laterally or to the basket.
